FDI in Bulgaria rose by 13% in 2012
According to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), foreign direct investment (FDI) in Bulgaria rose by 13% in 2012.
Last year FDI to Bulgaria reached ?1.48 billion.
This success contrasts with the 2012 trend for developed countries – the group in which UNCTAD places Bulgaria as an EU member – where FDI fell by 18%.
The main FDI increase for Bulgaria was in the services sector. Manufacture of automotive components was also a bright spot.
